Juveniles Take Surfboards, Get Caught

OCEAN CITY — Police here arrested four juvenile males for stealing surfboards. On July 7 at approximately 5:30 a.m., an officer approached a group of four males riding bicycles and carrying surfboards in the 27th Street area.
All but one of the juveniles fled the scene dropping three surfboards. The other was taken into custody.
Investigation led to the capture of the other juveniles at a home in the 3400 block of Wesley Avenue.
Police said the juveniles took the boards from a garage in the 2500 block of Central Avenue.
All four were charged with burglary and theft before being released to their parents. Two 15-year-old juveniles were from Springfield, Pa., one from 17 year old from Broomall, Pa. and one 15 year old from here.
