Indictments Filed Sept. 24

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 20 indictments Sept. 24. 
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance. 
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Ryan J. Bergman
Ryan Bergman, 36, of Rio Grande, was indicted on one count of third-degree burglary of a residence on Second Street.
Manbir S. Singh 
Manbir Singh, 21, of Rio Grande, faces a fourth-degree count for possession of a prohibited weapon, a baton.
Arthur Chester, Charles Connor, Nathan J. Velez, Eric K. Kibuuka, Linda Juni, Jarea Toney, Wilfred Vazquez 
The seven individuals listed all separately face third-degree counts for possession of a CDS. The indictment of Arthur Chester, 33, of Villas, contains two counts for two separate drugs.
Jerry T. Coughlin
Jerry Coughlin was indicted on two third-degree counts for criminal restraint and aggravated assault on a female victim in Wildwood Crest.
Raymond J. Segarra
Raymond Segarra, 35, of Wildwood, faces three third-degree counts for possession of a CDS, oxycodone HCL, possession with intent to distribute and possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, Wildwood High School.  
Jason T. Phillips, Sarah R. Dewitt 
Both Jason Phillips, 23, and Sarah Dewitt, 30, both of Court House, were indicted on two third-degree counts for possession of a CDS, heroin, and conspiracy. Phillips also faces a fourth-degree count for possession of a prohibited weapon, a switchblade knife.
Dilenes Peraltaveras 
Dilenes Peraltaveras was indicted on a count of third-degree theft by deception involving property of a Sea Isle City resident and valued at more than $500.
Ira G. Merritt
Ira Merritt was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault on Middle Township police officers and one count of resisting arrest. All counts were in the third degree.
William M. Mulcahy
William Mulcahy, 43, of Levittown, Pa., was indicted for unlawful taking of a means of conveyance and contempt of a judicial order. Both counts were fourth degree.
Christopher L. Fitzpatrick 
Christopher Fitzpatrick faces a fourth-degree count for driving a motor vehicle on second license suspension. Fitzpatrick had twice previously been arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI).
Luke S. Holzknecht 
Luke Holzknecht, 27, of North Cape May, was indicted for aggravated assault, third-degree, in an incident that met the definition of domestic violence.
Ramon G. Gutierrez-Padin 
Ramon Gutierrez-Padin, of Wildwood, was indicted for burglary and theft, both third degree.
Kyle J. Kempton 
According to the indictment, Kyle Kempton was involved in a domestic violence incident in Sea Isle City in July. He faces two third-degree counts for aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.
Morris Fitzpatrick, Reginald A. Pitts
Morris Fitzpatrick, 49, of Woodbine, and Reginald Pitts, 50, of Court House, were indicted for third degree possession of a CDS, cocaine. Fitzpatrick also faces counts for possession with intent to distribute, third degree, and intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property, Rio Park.
