COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up indictments for the following individuals Nov. 17:
James Tierney
A multi-agency investigation into child pornography led to the arrest of two adults and a juvenile. One of those adults, James Tierney, 50, of Wildwood Crest, was indicted on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, both second degree, and resisting arrest, third degree. The endangerment charges were for both possession and distribution of child pornography. Conviction of a second degree crime can carry a sentence of five to 10 years in state prison.
Timothy Boyd
Timothy Boyd, 26, of North Cape May, allegedly used a home improvement companys commercial credit card to make fraudulent purchases at the Middle Township retailer. The purchases exceeded the $500 threshold that makes the act a third degree crime. Fraudulent use of the card occurred from Jan. 6 to 12. Boyd was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in July and again for illegal use of a credit card in August.
Derick Fitzpatrick
Derick Fitzpatrick, 42, of Woodbine was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS). He was released with the requirement that he appear in Superior Court Nov. 6. Since he failed to so, the grand jury indicted him for bail jumping, a third-degree crime.
Thomas J. Fox
On July 18, Thomas Fox, 68, of Havertown, Pa., was driving south on Seashore Road when he allegedly crossed the center lane and struck a sport utility vehicle carrying a family of four. Police reports indicated that Fox was found to be intoxicated and that alcohol was found in his car.
The family members in the struck vehicle were treated and released at a local medical center. The accident occurred near Carl T. Mitnick School, Cold Spring.
Fox was indicted for aggravated assault in the third degree.
John F. Jenner
John Jenner, 50, of Court House, was indicted for aggravated assault, criminal restraint, and terroristic threats, all in the third degree. Jenner allegedly restrained a woman Aug. 28, threatening to kill her. Jenner was lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $35,000 bond.
Shaquille LeBron
Shaquille LeBron, 22, of Villas, was arrested in Lower Township in March on charges of burglary, theft, gun transport, and possession of a weapon. LeBron was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center March 30 in lieu of $50,000 bail. Despite his continued incarceration since March, LeBron was indicted this week for possession of a CDS, buprenorphine, a Schedule III drug. The offense, according to the indictment, occurred July 31.
Anthony J. Ransom
Anthony Ransom was indicted for failure to re-register after changing his address. The arrest was made in Wildwood Aug.16. Ransom is required to register his address with local law enforcement due to an aggravated sexual assault charge, for which he was declared guilty in October 1995. At the time, according to the indictment, he was an adjudicated delinquent.
Kawann J. McGee
Kawann McGee, 27, of Wildwood, was indicted for criminal restraint and terroristic threats, both third degree, along with aggravated assault, fourth degree, and resisting arrest, third degree. The incident leading to this indictment occurred Dec. 16, 2014, when McGee allegedly restrained a woman and then threatened to kill responding police officers. McGee was indicted Oct. 27 for witness tampering.
Arthur E. Schellinger
Arthur Schellinger, 54, of Absecon, was indicted for burglary and criminal mischief, both third degree, for an incident Sept. 21. Schellinger allegedly entered the a gas station on Route 47 in Rio Grande and caused damage to property that represented a loss of $2,000.
Jason Miller, Adam Mccarraher, and Erik Konczyk
Jason Miller, Adam Mccarraher, 24, and Erick Konczyk, 38, were indicted for distribution of a CDS and conspiracy, both in the third degree. The incident occurred Aug. 27 in Middle Township. The drug involved was buprenorphine, a semi-synthetic opiate derivative that is used to treat addiction. It is a Schedule III drug. Mccarraher and Konczyk are lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center both having violated probation.
The above individuals are only charged with the offenses and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
