COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 17 indictments Nov. 13.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance. A charge of “certain person not to have a weapon” can be brought against someone possessing a weapon who was previously convicted of a felony.
The individuals listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Brandon Soto-Dawson, Larry Burton
Brandon Soto-Dawson, of Wildwood, was indicted on three third-degree counts for possession of a CDS, heroin, and possession with intent to distribute.
His proximity to the Wildwood Boardwalk led to a second-degree count for intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property. Soto-Dawson was also named in two fourth-degree counts for hindering apprehension and resisting arrest.
Larry Burton, of Wildwood, was named in one count for third-degree attempted possession of a CDS.
Chris E. Young
Chris Young was indicted for operating a motor vehicle under second license suspension. This is a fourth-degree count.
Cheyenne A. Warren
Cheyenne Warren, 21, of Belleplain, was indicted for theft, fourth degree. The indictment states that Warren stole from a food company over a period of four days in September.
Brandon McLaughlin
Brandon McLaughlin was indicted for possession of a CDS, third degree.
Luis Reyes-Cruz, Jorge Aviles-Lopez
Luis Reyes-Cruz and Jorge Aviles-Lopez, both of Wildwood, were indicted for burglary, theft, and conspiracy to commit burglary, each count third degree.
The indictment states that the two took property valued at greater than $500 from an apartment on E. Schellenger Avenue in September.
Robert Robinson
Robert Robinson, of Ocean City, faces a fourth-degree count for criminal trespass.
Jayson O. Ramos-Ocasio
Jayson Ramos-Ocasio was indicted on three counts of third-degree attempted burglary. The indictment states that Ramos-Ocasio attempted to unlawfully enter three apartments in Wildwood on Atlantic and E. Pine Avenues.
Rhonda Milberry
Rhonda Milberry, of Ocean City, faces one count of third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine.
John Jacobus
John Jacobus, 49, of Wildwood, was indicted on three counts of violation of parole supervision. Jacobus was convicted in 2002 of endangering the welfare of a child. As a result of that conviction Jacobus must comply with the condition for supervision for life.
Jacob A. Jasinski
Jacob Jasinski was indicted for attempted burglary and two counts of possession of a CDS, each third degree.
The attempted burglary was at an inn on East Lincoln Avenue in Wildwood. An attempt to elude police added a fourth-degree count for resisting arrest.
Jenna T. Cunningham
Jenna Cunningham, of Wildwood, was indicted on a single count of possession of a CDS, heroin, third degree.
Eugenia Burch
Eugenia Burch, 56, of North Wildwood, was indicted on three third-degree counts of possession of a CDS, possession with intent to distribute and intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school. She also faces a second-degree count for endangering the welfare of a child.
William J. Atkinson
William Atkinson, 35, of Villas, was indicted for possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, third degree, along with two fourth-degree counts for unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person.
The weapon in question was a machete. Atkinson’s previous conviction for aggravated assault in 2012, led to the certain person count.
Flakrim Musliu
Flakrim Musliu, 30, of Wildwood, was indicted for both second- and third-degree aggravated assault, along with third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
The indictment states that Musliu inflicted serious bodily harm on the victim. The weapon was a baseball bat. Musliu is lodged at the county correctional center.
Luis R. Cintron, Anthony Murphy
Luis Cintron, 34, of Villas, and Anthony Murphy, 39, of Green Creek, were indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, and conspiracy, each count in the third degree.
William Krzyk, John Shiffler
William Krzyk and John Shiffler were arrested on drug charges in Ocean City in September. This week they were both indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, heroin. Krzyk faces three additional counts of third-degree possession for Xanax, cocaine, and, methamphetamine. Krzyk was also indicted for distribution of a CDS, third degree.
William K. Atkinson, Carl E. Smith
William K. Atkinson, 34, and Carl Smith, 33, were both indicted for possession and distribution of marijuana near the Wildwood Boardwalk. Smith faces additional weapons charges with counts for second-degree possession of a weapon while engaged in a CDS crime, second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
The weapon was noted in the indictment as a firearm. Smith’s 2011 conviction for burglary in Cumberland County led to a final count for second-degree certain person.
ED. NOTE: In the previous listing above William J. Atkinson, 35, was indicted on weapons charges. William K. Atkinson, 34, above is named in a separate indictment. Both indictments list different middle initials even though the men have similar names and ages.
