COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 20 indictments Nov. 12.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
A “certain person not to have weapons” charge can be made against an individual found in possession of a weapon, even though a previous felony conviction banned weapons possession.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Nicole Johnson
Nicole Johnson, 41, of North Cape May, was indicted for second and third-degree aggravated assault, along with third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, a knife, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
Jeffrey Hastings
Jeffrey Hastings, 41, from Eddystone, Pa., was found in possession of a spring folded knife and a quantity of methamphetamine. He faces counts for third-degree possession of a CDS and fourth-degree possession of a prohibited weapon. An earlier conviction on drug charges in Pennsylvania led to a fourth-degree count for certain person.
Andrew S. Czarkowski
Andrew Czarkowski, 34, of Clementon, stands accused of possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute, and intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, each count in the third degree. A count for intent within 500 feet of public property added a second-degree offense. Lastly, possession of a knife led to a fourth-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon.
Robert Baeringer, Jenna Jackson
Robert Baeringer, 33, of Philadelphia, faces a count for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, third degree, along with two weapons-related charges, unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person, both in the fourth degree. The weapon in question was a billy club (baton). Jenna Jackson is named on the count for possession of a CDS.
Carla Brennan
Carla Brennan, 24, of Villas, was indicted on a single count of third-degree theft.
Pablo Gonzalez-Segura
Pablo Gonzalez-Segura, 34, of Westminster, Md., attempted to elude Wildwood City police July 4. Fleeing in a motor vehicle placed members of the public in danger, leading to his indictment for second-degree eluding police.
Patrick Dougherty
Patrick Dougherty, of Villas, faces a third-degree count for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine.
Keith Bielawski
Keith Bielawski, 43, of Wildwood, was indicted on three third-degree counts for burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property.
Robert Bonney
Robert Bonney was indicted on weapons charges. He had a knife while forbidden to have a weapon due to an earlier conviction on drug charges in Cumberland County. He faces two fourth-degree counts for unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person.
Carl Botzenhardt
Carl Botzenhardt, of Wildwood, faces third-degree counts for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, along with a fourth-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon was a hammer.
Bradley Green
Bradley Green, 26, of Green Creek, faces a single count of third-degree theft.
Manbir Singh, Judith Lefkowitz
Manbir Singh, 21, of Rio Grande, and Judith Lefkowitz, 25, of Norwood, Pa., each faces a single count of fourth-degree criminal trespass.
Steven Lamb
Steven Lamb, 31, of Sea Isle City, was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, methamphetamine.
Francisco Perez-Marroquin
Francisco Perez-Marroquin, 42, of Wildwood, was indicted for second-degree robbery and third-degree theft relating to an incident in Wildwood City July 4, where a victim was injured.
Heriberto Rodriguez
A Bronx man, Heriberto Rodriguez, 21, faces a five-count indictment for attempted theft by deception, third degree, forgery and uttering a forged instrument, each fourth degree, exhibiting a simulated document, third degree and finally fourth-degree impersonation. The indictment claims that Rodriguez forged a bank withdrawal form for $7,500, claiming to be the account holder and presenting a false license.
Rodney Green
Rodney Green, 46, of Philadelphia, was indicted for third-degree aggravated assault connected to a domestic violence incident.
Charles P. Williams
Charles Williams, 19, of Prospect Park, Pa., was indicted for third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, a rifle, along with two fourth-degree counts for possession of a prohibited weapon, large-capacity magazines, and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Annette Vera-Lopez
Annette Vera-Lopez, 19, of Wildwood, faces a fourth-degree count for possession of a CDS, marijuana, along with a third-degree count for intent to distribute. The amount of marijuana was over 50 grams.
Jose A. Velez, Jose L. Ramos
Jose Velez, 36, and Jose Ramos, both of Wildwood, jointly face counts for third-degree possession with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia and conspiracy to distribute. Ramos also faces a second-degree count for endangering the welfare of a child, as well as third-degree possession of a CDS, heroin.
Antonia R. Velez, Joanne Gilbert, Cindy Gilbert
Antonia R. Velez, Joanne Gilbert, and Cindy Gilbert were indicted for burglary and theft, along with conspiracy to commit both crimes. All counts were third degree and stemmed from an incident on E. Leaming Avenue in Wildwood.
Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
