COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 13 indictments Nov. 1. The abbreviation CDS is used for controlled dangerous substance.
Angela Davis, Dwayne Wakefield
In September, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Whitesboro. Angela Davis, 28, and Dwayne Wakefield, 47, were arrested on drug possession charges. Police found five minor children in the home.
This week Davis and Wakefield were each indicted on two counts of possession of a CDS, both heroin, and cocaine. They are also facing two counts of possession with intent to distribute. All charges are third-degree except the count of possession with intent regarding more than one-half ounce of cocaine. The amount made that count second degree.
Since the residence was within 500 feet of the public bike path, both also face two counts of possession with intent within 500 feet of public property, second degree.
The juveniles in the home met the definition of neglected or abused children leading to an additional five counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child. The minors ranged in age from 14 to less than 1 year old.
Finally, a count in the indictment charged both individuals with fourth-degree prohibited weapon possession for a taser gun.
Ashley Valentine
Ashley Valentine, 30, of Wildwood was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS. She also faces two counts of resisting arrest, one-third degree, and one-fourth degree. Also, the indictment contains counts for third-degree theft and fourth-degree receipt of a stolen credit card.
Blair Crabtree, Sarina Bruno
Blair Crabtree, 30, and Sarina Bruno, 23, both of Bridgeton, were indicted for possession of a CDS, cocaine. The arrests occurred May 31 in Woodbine.
Keith Bell
Keith Bell, 44, of Atlantic City, was indicted for perjury, third degree. In August, Bell was indicted for conspiracy to shoplift involving an incident stealing beauty products from a Court House pharmacy. In that indictment, he was joined by Clarice Bethel, 31, also of Atlantic City.
This week’s indictment alleges that Bell gave perjured testimony in the case against Bethel. He allegedly made statements that he “did not believe true” and which were “materially inconsistent.”
Takeya Butler
Takeya Butler was indicted for distribution of a CDS, marijuana, in the fourth degree. The indictment also carried more serious counts for distribution within 1000 feet of a school and 500 feet of public property, both third degree.
Javeair Fowler
Javeair Fowler, of Dennis Township, was indicted for third-degree theft involving the taking of a Ford Escape automobile. His use of a 17-year-old accomplice added the charge of second-degree using a juvenile in a crime. An additional count of fourth-degree obstruction of the administration of law was also included.
Chase Garofalo
Chase Garofalo, 19, of Trevose, Pa., was indicted for fourth-degree prohibited weapon due to his alleged possession of brass knuckles.
Ariam Candelaria
Ariam Candelaria, 20, of Wildwood, was indicted for third-degree possession of CDS, heroin.

Kevin Morgan
Kevin Morgan, of Wildwood, was indicted for endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree and certain person not to possess a weapon, fourth degree. According to the indictment, Morgan left a 15-month-old child “alone in an unlocked residence for an extended period.”
Morgan was found in possession of a knife. His conviction in 2000 in Atlantic County of aggravated assault meant that he was not allowed to possess a weapon.
Daniel Mouser
Daniel Mouser, 27, allegedly fled police in a motor vehicle disregarding the danger he posed to others while doing so. He was indicted for second-degree eluding police.
Daniel Roth
Daniel Roth, 41, of North Cape May, was indicted for third-degree bail jumping. In October, Roth was required to appear in Superior Court. The indictment alleged that he failed to do so. Roth was facing charges of third-degree possession of a CDS at the time.
Skyler Pawline
Skyler Pawline, 26, of Wildwood, was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS and fourth-degree theft of property valued at greater than $200. The drug in question was heroin.
The above individuals are only charged with the offenses and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
