Indictments Filed May 15

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 13 indictments May 15. The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
A certain person charge can be brought against anyone carrying a weapon but whose previous criminal convictions prohibit possession of a weapon. 
The following actions are alleged by law enforcement agents. Persons named are innocent until proven otherwise in court.
David P. Gant
David Gant has a previous conviction for sexual assault in Cape May County. He is barred from possessing a weapon based on that conviction. This week, he was indicted by the grand jury for possessing two revolvers and one 50 caliber muzzleloader. The indictment contains three counts for certain person, all are in the second degree.
Emily Docherty
Emily Docherty was indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, third degree, and possession of a device for defrauding a drug test, fourth degree.
Christian A. Burk
Christian Burk was indicted on one count of second-degree theft. The indictment asserts that Burk took in excess of $75,000 from an Ocean City Acme over a period from September 2016 to January 2017.
Charles S. Coulter
Charles Coulter was indicted for fourth-degree possession of a CDS, marijuana, along with third-degree possession with intent to distribute. The amount of marijuana exceeded 50 grams.
Joseph Bragdon
Joseph Bragdon faces two counts of distribution of a CDS, each count third degree. The drugs in question were morphine and methamphetamine.
William R. Baker
Stemming from an Ocean City arrest, William Baker was indicted for possession of a CDS, marijuana, fourth degree, as well as possession with intent to distribute, third degree.
Jessica L. Genovese
Jessica Genovese, 30, of North Cape May, was indicted for fraudulent use of a credit card, third degree, and theft, fourth degree. Genovese is accused of illegally using a credit card to make purchases in excess of $200.
Steven Heller
Steven Heller, 19, of Philadelphia, was indicted for fourth-degree possession of a CDS, marijuana, as well as third-degree possession with intent to distribute a CDS.
Shane P. Tincher
Shane Tincher was indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, third degree, stemming from an arrest in Middle Township in March.
Zackary R. Hertz
Zachary Hertz was indicted for aggravated assault of a female victim in Wildwood in March.
Dominique L. Randolph
Dominique Randolph was indicted on two third-degree counts for uttering a false instrument and theft by deception. The indictment asserts that Randolph presented a check with a forged signature to an Ocean City bank in September 2017. The check was for $2,990 and was drawn on the account of a real-estate firm.
Jessie L. Goodwin
Jessie Goodwin was indicted for second-degree aggravated assault, a separate count for third-degree aggravated assault, and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
The indictment says that Goodwin was engaged in a domestic violence situation and caused serious bodily harm to a female victim. Two children, ages 9 and 5, were also involved.
Bianca R. Ravel and Kwame K. Gamble
Bianca Ravel, of Wildwood Crest, and Kwame Gamble were indicted for theft, forgery, and conspiracy, each count in the third degree, as well as fourth-degree uttering a forged instrument.
The indictment lists 24 separate checks drawn on the account of a female victim which were forged over a period from September to December 2017.
