COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 26 indictments Jan. 23.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
A certain person charge can be brought against anyone carrying a weapon but whose previous criminal convictions prohibit possession of a weapon. All dates below are 2017 unless specifically noted otherwise.
Robert Gittle
Robert Gittle, 25, of Villas, was indicted for second-degree sexual assault and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child. Gittle’s alleged victim was 15-years-old.
Branden Manyak
Branden Manyak, 25, of Court House, allegedly possessed a handgun while threatening to kill a male victim. Manyak was indicted on three counts involving terroristic threats, third degree, and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
David Reeves
David Reeves allegedly possessed a shotgun even though his previous conviction for burglary in Cape May County made it illegal for him to have a weapon. He was indicted for certain person, second degree.
Leslie R. Headley
Leslie Headley was arrested in Wildwood Nov. 8 for possession of two CDS drugs, alprazolam, and suboxone. She was indicted on two counts of possession of a CDS, third degree.
Albert Douglas
Albert Douglas, of Wildwood, allegedly assaulted a female victim while in possession of a knife. He was indicted for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, each count third degree, along with unlawful possession of a weapon, fourth degree.
Amyr Jones
Amyr Jones, 28, of Wildwood, was indicted for second degree aggravated assault for causing a victim “serious bodily injury” in an incident in North Wildwood in August.
Noelle Kalogeris
Wildwood resident Noelle Kalogeris, 47, was indicted for fourth-degree theft for taking over $200 in moveable property from a female victim.
Aaron Lewis, Stephanie Hennessy
Aaron Lewis, 30, and Stephanie Hennessy, 27, both of Woodbine, face a nine-count indictment including five counts that are either first or second degree. Lewis and Hennessy allegedly manufactured methamphetamines from an apartment in Woodbine, endangering all residents of the apartment complex, and especially posing a threat to three children, 9-years-old and younger, who lived in the apartment.
They were indicted for maintaining or operating a drug production facility, first degree, three counts of second degree endangerment of the welfare of a child, three counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, a second degree count for risk of injury or damage to others in the complex and finally a third-degree count for possession of a CDS.
Fabian Rodriquez
Burleigh resident Fabian Rodriquez allegedly made threats to harm a female victim while possessing a “large kitchen knife.” He also allegedly “obstructed the breath” of the victim. The indictment states that the woman involved meets the definition of a victim of domestic violence.
Rodriquez faces five counts, the most serious being a second-degree count for aggravated assault. Additionally, his indictment included counts of terroristic threats, a second aggravated assault charge, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, each of these being third degree. There is one fourth-degree count of unlawful possession of a weapon.
Damian Tirello
Damian Tirello, 35, of Wildwood Crest, was indicted for possession of a CDS, oxycodone, and possession with intent to distribute each count a third degree.
Jacob Terry
Jacob Terry, 25, was arrested in Ocean City for unlawful entry into and theft of a 2009 Infinity. He was indicted for third-degree burglary and theft.
Thomas Stansbury
Thomas Stansbury, 53, of Margate, was indicted for second-degree theft following an incident in Ocean City in which Stansbury allegedly engaged in the business of making and selling home repairs and improvement. It was in this context that Stansbury allegedly took over $75,000 from a victim. The indictment contains a second charge for a fourth-degree construction registration act violation. The indictment maintains that Stansbury was required to be registered with the state and that he failed to do so.
Joseph Battle, Jr.
Joseph Battle, Jr. was indicted for fourth-degree theft and fourth-degree bad checks after he allegedly wrote four checks at a local supermarket which he knew would not be honored by his bank. The amount of the checks totaled $401.
Edward Cobleigh
Edward Cobleigh was indicted for fourth-degree shoplifting at a Rio Grande chain store.
Lance Boyd and Jorge Hernandez
In separate, unrelated indictments, Lance Boyd, 27, of Burleigh, and Jorge Hernandez, 54, of Wildwood face single counts for third-degree possession of a CDS.
John Frederick
In Lower Township in August, John Frederick allegedly resisted arrest leading to this indictment in the fourth degree.
James Beck, Karen Keith
Karen Keith, of Wildwood, was indicted for possession of a CDS, cocaine, and possession with intent to distribute each count third degree. James Beck, also of Wildwood, was added to the count for third-degree possession of cocaine.
Earl Coxson, Jr.
Earl Coxson, Jr., of Wildwood, was indicted on two counts of third-degree theft because he allegedly stole a 2007 Cadillac with a Florida registration in July. The car contained property belonging to two victims leading to the second theft count.
Luis Delgado-Betancourt
Luis Delgado-Betancourt, 44, of Hackensack, was indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, and possession with intent to distribute each third degree.
James J. Osborn
James Osborn, of Tuckahoe, was indicted for two counts of criminal mischief, one third, and one fourth degree, after damage he allegedly caused led to a monetary loss to a female victim in excess of $2,000 and a male victim in excess of $500.
Luis Sotomayor
Police arrest reports state that Luis Sotomayor, 25, of Bridgeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated Nov. 16 in Middle Township. According to the grand jury indictment, Sotomayor attempted to elude police when signaled to stop. The indictment also alleges that he tampered with physical evidence to destroy suspected marijuana. Sotomayor was indicted for second-degree eluding police and two fourth-degree counts of obstructing the administration of law and tampering with evidence.
Joseph Salladino
Joseph Salladino, 41, of Lower Township, was indicted for defrauding the administration of a drug test, third degree. This occurred Jan. 2, 2018.
Edwin Rosario
Edwin Rosario was indicted for fourth-degree theft stemming from an incident in Avalon Aug. 31.
David Palmer
David Palmer allegedly possessed methamphetamines and a blackjack when arrested by State Police in Upper Township in June.
Lynise Murray-Williams
A Woodbine resident, Lynise Murray-Williams, 51, was indicted for third-degree theft and fourth-degree bad checks. The indictment alleges that Murray-Williams wrote eight bad checks, totaling $618, over a 10-day period in September.
The above individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
