COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 11 indictments Feb. 4.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Laureen D. Birmingham, 35, of Ocean City, was indicted for third-degree terroristic threats after threatening to kill two individuals Dec. 25, 2019.
Timothy S. Downey, of North Cape May, faces a fourth-degree count for operating a motor vehicle under second license suspension. Downey was stopped for driving while intoxicated, in Lower Township, Dec. 27, 2019, according to the indictment.
Evelyn Colon, John A. Hruska and Jonathan J. Duerr were separately indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS. Duerr, 26, of Villas, faces two counts of possession for heroin and methamphetamine. Colon, of Dennis Township, had methamphetamine. Hruska, 36, of Villas had heroin.
Megan E. McDevitt, 28, of North Wildwood, faces a fourth-degree count for shoplifting over $200 worth of merchandise from a Rio Grande business.
Nikita V. Sterkh, of Ocean City, faces a three-count indictment for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, both counts third degree, as well as fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, a knife.
Robert E. Corliss, of Villas, was indicted for endangering the welfare of a child, third degree. The incident, which occurred Dec. 26, 2019, involved a 13-year-old.
Patrick J. Boland, of Dennis Township, was indicted for third-degree criminal mischief after causing over $2,000 worth of damage to the victim’s property.
George Flanagan, 37, of Woodbine, along with Leroy Lashley, 35, of Wildwood, face a third-degree count for possession of a CDS, heroin, while Flanagan also faces an added count for possession with intent to distribute, third degree.
Christopher R. Bailey was indicted for defrauding the administration of a drug test, third degree, and possession of a device used to defraud a drug test, fourth degree.
