Indictments Filed Feb. 27

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 41 indictments Feb. 27.  The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  
A “certain person” charge can be brought against anyone carrying a weapon but whose previous criminal convictions prohibit possession of a weapon.
John G. Bersani
John Bersani, 28, of Erma, was indicted for possession of a CDS, possession with intent to distribute and intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school. The possession count was fourth degree, and other counts were third degree.  Bersani allegedly intended to distribute marijuana near Lower Cape Regional High School.
Thomas J. Bradley
Thomas Bradley, 31, of North Wildwood, allegedly burglarized St. Simeon’s Church and then fled from police. He was indicted for third-degree burglary and fourth-degree obstruction of the administration of law.
Phillip C. Atkinson
Phillip Atkinson, 38, of Wildwood, allegedly used force on a female victim in the course of a robbery.  He was indicted for second-degree robbery. A second-degree offense can carry a prison term of five to 10 years.
Stephanie Baum
Stephanie Baum, 34, of Villas was indicted for burglary and theft after she allegedly entered a home on Florida Avenue in Lower Township and took more than $500 worth of property.
Keith C. Baybo
Keith Baybo, of North Wildwood, was indicted for a burglary and theft that occurred in Wildwood Crest in October 2017.  Both burglary and theft counts were third degree. Baybo allegedly took a 2002 Ford Thunderbird with Pennsylvania registration.
Shannon M. Burgess, Brittany Cory, Robert Forbes, Jessica Garrison Chelsea Henderson, Tahiem Howell, Jamie Moncrief, Lee Nelson, Joan Pippin, Robert Pfaff, Dante Vasser
In separate unrelated indictments, Shannon M. Burgess, of Wildwood,  Brittany Cory, of West Wildwood, Robert Forbes, 40, of Villas, Jessica Garrison, 29, of North Cape May, Chelsea Henderson, of Wildwood, Tahiem Howell, 38, of North Wildwood, Jamie Moncrief, 33, of Wildwood, Lee Nelson, of Lower Township, Joan Pippin,  of Wildwood, Robert Pfaff, 33, of Fishing Creek, and Dante Vasser, of Dennis Township were each indicted on one count of third-degree possession of a CDS.
Kevin D. Holden
Kevin Holden, of Woodbine, was indicted for third-degree aggravated assault on a male victim.
Maxcreek M. Cooper
Maxcreek Cooper, 26, of Villas allegedly robbed a homeowner in Court House while carrying a .22 caliber rifle. The homeowner was able to grab and gain control of the weapon. Police say that Cooper and an unidentified accomplice ran from the home. Cooper faces a first-degree robbery count which can carry a 10 to 20-year prison term if convicted. He also faces a second-degree count of possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and a third-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon.
Edward Cobleigh
Edward Cobleigh, 37, of Villas, was indicted for second-degree aggravated assault, along with two third-degree counts for making terroristic threats and criminal restraint. The indictment also has a count for fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Mallory Froeder
Mallory Froeder was indicted for defrauding the administration of a drug test, third degree, and possession of a device to defraud the test, fourth degree.
Robert Hopkins
Robert Hopkins allegedly issued a bad check in Wildwood for $247 to an appliance-and-repair company. The indictment claims that Hopkins knew the check would not be honored by the bank. He faces two fourth-degree counts for issuing a bad check and theft by deception.
Kelsie Juliano
Kelsie Juliano, 27, of Millville, was indicted for third-degree theft.
Dara M. Kingsman
Dara Kingsman was indicted for cyber harassment. Kingsman allegedly made threats against the unemployment office and Atlantic Cape Community College. Kingsman faces a count of fourth-degree cyber harassment.
Jeffrey Mansfield
Jeffrey Mansfield, 38, of Villas, was indicted for second-degree burglary after allegedly inflicting bodily injury on a female victim when illegally entering a West Atlantic Avenue structure.
Jamie Moncrief
Jamie Moncrief, 35, of Wildwood, listed above as indicted for possession of a CDS, was named in a second separate indictment for third-degree burglary and theft, as well as fourth-degree assault on a police officer. Moncrief’s two indictments are for crimes that occurred on the same day in two separate jurisdictions.
Marcus Morales-Soto
Marcus Morales-Soto, 19, of Wildwood, was indicted for fourth-degree theft, allegedly taking less than $200 worth of property from a female victim.
Thomas J. Nicoll
Thomas Nicoll, of Ocean City, was indicted for forgery and uttering a false instrument, each count third degree. Nicoll allegedly presented a check he forged to be cashed at a local bank.
Allan D. Packard
Allan Packard, of Millville, was allegedly in possession of a stiletto knife while in Ocean City in January. Packard had previously been convicted of aggravated assault in Atlantic County. He was indicted on three fourth-degree counts for possession of a prohibited weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person.
Frank Patitucci
Frank Patitucci, 20, of Millville, was indicted for escape in the third degree for failure to return to custody when required.
Hector Poll
Hector Poll, 38, of Wildwood was indicted on two counts of third-degree aggravated assault, along with a third-degree count for possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and a fourth-degree count for unlawful possession of a weapon. Poll allegedly assaulted two victims while armed with a deadly weapon.
Michael Reichenbach
Michael Reichenbach, 35, of Burleigh, was indicted for the unlawful taking of a means of conveyance, third degree. He allegedly crashed a car he had taken from a female victim without her consent.
Shannon Sherrer
Shannon Sherrer, of Dennis Township, was indicted for third-degree burglary of a Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
Zharia Z. Young
Zharia Young, 19, of Woodbine, allegedly damaged over $500 worth of property of a female victim and then resisted arrest by a state trooper. She was indicted for third-degree resisting arrest and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Larry D. Bell, Steven Woldoff
Larry Bell, 65, of Whitesboro, and Steven Woldoff, 60, of Erma, were indicted for possession of a CDS, possession with intent to distribute and intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property. The possession and intent charges are third degree, but being within 500 feet of Belles Park, Rio Grande, is a count in the second degree.
Luis Correa, Edgardo Rivera
Luis Correa, 22, and Edgardo Rivera, 26, both of Wildwood, both face a third-degree count for possession of a CDS, cocaine. Correa also faces two-second degree counts for possession with intent to distribute and intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property, along with a third-degree count for intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school.
Joseph M. Kenish, Sr., Joseph M. Kenish, Jr.
Joseph M. Kenish, Sr., and Jr., of North Cape May, were each indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, and possession with intent to distribute in Lower Township.
Virginia Long, Luis G. Ramirez
Virginia Long, 29, and Luis Ramirez, 25, both of Wildwood, were indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, and possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, each count third degree. The indictment also contained two second-degree counts of intent to distribute one-half ounce or more of cocaine and intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property.
Corleon Riley, Arfienia Foster
Corleon Riley, 28, of Villa, and Arfienia Foster, 33, of Rio Grande, were indicted on weapons charges. The two allegedly were in possession of a .40 caliber handgun and hollow point bullets. Riley has also been previously convicted of robbery in 2009. Both were indicted for second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and fourth-degree possession of a prohibited weapon.  Riley had the added count of second-degree certain person.
Gary S. Taylor
Gary Taylor, of Wildwood, was indicted for second degree endangering the welfare of a child, a 16-year-old, along with third-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. The weapon was a knife.  The indictment did not disclose the nature of the child abuse or neglect that led to the endangerment charge.
Richard Steel, Mary Stansbury, Frederick Hamilton
Richard Steel, 40, Mary Stansbury, 56, and Frederick Hamilton, 52, all of Villas, were indicted for theft and conspiracy to commit theft, each third degree. Both Steel and Hamilton were also indicted for receiving stolen property. Stansbury had two additional counts for third-degree possession of a CDS, along with fourth-degree resisting arrest.
Carol Lee Schick, Francis Rossett
Carol Lee Schick, 56, and Francis Rossett, 29, both of North Cape May, were indicted for distribution of a CDS, three counts of CDS possession and possession with intent to distribute. All five counts were in the third degree. The incident leading to the indictment took place on Nov. 1. Schick has been lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center since Nov. 2, 2017.
The above individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
