Indictments Filed Feb. 18

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up nine indictments Feb. 18. The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.   
New Jersey makes it a crime for individuals previously convicted of specific crimes to possess a weapon. Violations are known as “certain person” crimes. 
All individuals listed are presumed innocent unless proven otherwise.
Matthew Freeman was indicted on four second-degree counts for burglary, two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person. The indictment also included two third-degree counts for theft and criminal mischief. According to the indictment, Freeman illegally entered a residence on Holly Drive in Middle Township, caused over $2,000 worth of damage and took handguns from the location. His 2005 conviction for aggravated assault led to the “certain person” charge.
Ronaldo Santiago Jr., 36, of Philadelphia, faces two third-degree counts for burglary and an additional third-degree count for theft. The incident occurred on 18th Avenue in North Wildwood Nov. 30, 2019.
Edwin Rice, of Atlantic County, was indicted in Cape May County for an offense against an Atlantic County Sheriff’s Officer. He faces a second-degree count for disarming a law enforcement officer and a third-degree count for aggravated assault of the officer.
Jimmie Raines was indicted for failure to make required disposition of funds from a local theatrical company over $500. The count is in the third degree.
Shirley Moore, 29, of Burleigh, was indicted for employing a juvenile in a crime, shoplifting, fourth degree.
Harvey D. McClendon, 56, of Villas, faces two counts for third-degree possession of a CDS, fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with one third-degree count of possession with intent to distribute.
WK Johnson, 57, was indicted for failure to observe the Contractor Registration Act, fourth degree, when offering home improvements in Wildwood Crest.
Donna M. Gallner, 36, was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine.
Clarence Pike faces two third-degree counts for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute.
