Indictments Filed Dec. 19

A Cape May County grand jury handed up 20 indictments Dec. 19.  
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance. A certain person charge can be brought against anyone carrying a weapon but whose previous criminal convictions prohibit possession of a weapon.
Xavier Primavera
Xavier Primavera, 19, of North Cape May, allegedly threatened “to commit a crime of violence” and did so “via social networking.” He allegedly perpetuated fear of an “impending disaster.” Primavera was indicted on third-degree counts of terroristic threats and circulating a false report of impending disaster. He also faces a fourth-degree count of cyber harassment.
Harry R. Moran
Harry Moran, of Lower Township, allegedly threatened to kill a female victim and to do injury to three children ages 4 to 7 years old. He allegedly also used cyber communication for his threats. He was indicted on third-degree terroristic threats and four counts of fourth-degree cyber harassment.
Garret V. Palverento
Garret Palverento, 39, of North Cape May, was indicted for unlawful possession of a weapon and certain person not to have a weapon, each count in the second degree. The indictment also contained a fourth-degree count of unlawful possession of a weapon.
Palverento’s earlier conviction for aggravated assault led to the certain charge. The weapon in question was a .25mm handgun.
Joseph Pierce
In October, Joseph Pierce allegedly “removed himself from official detention.” He was indicted for third-degree escape.
Karl Madrack
In September, Karl Madrack, of Wildwood, was allegedly in possession of heroin and found to be carrying a knife. He faces a two-count indictment for possession of a CDS, third degree, and unlawful possession of a weapon, fourth degree.
Gene Britton, Devon Onorata, James Harvey and Brandon Bossuyt
Gene Britton, 35, Devon Onorata, 21, James Harvey, 34, and Brandon Bossuyt , 20, all of Rio Grande, were indicted for first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy, first-degree use of a juvenile in a crime and second-degree burglary. The indictment also contained a count for third-degree theft.
In an evening in October, these four individuals, along with a 16-year-old juvenile, allegedly invaded the trailer of a man they knew to have bought cocaine earlier in the day. In the commission of a robbery, the four allegedly inflicted serious bodily injury on the victim, taking two cell phones and some cash.
Conviction for a first-degree offense can carry a 10- to 20-year prison term. A second-degree offense can carry a 5- to 10-year term.
Arthur Vitola, John Steel, David Slough, Carol Schick, Kevin Kelly-Pallanta, and Brandon Jones-May
Arthur Vitola, 56, of Rio Grande, John Steel, of Wildwood, David Slough, 36, of Burleigh, Carol Schick, 55, of Cape May, Kevin Kelly-Pallanta, 28, of North Wildwood, and Brandon Jones-May, of Wildwood, were each separately indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS.
Jerry Winston
Jerry Winston, 23, of Millville, was indicted for second-degree eluding police stemming from an incident in which Winston allegedly drove under the influence and tried to elude police in ways that showed no regard for the safety of others on the road.
Travis Werner
Travis Werner, 22, of Rio Grande, was indicted on two counts of resisting arrest, each third degree.
Frankie Sola
Frankie Sola was indicted for third-degree escape.
Christopher R. Small
Christopher Small, 39, of Woodbine, was indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, and possession with intent to distribute. Each count was third degree.
David Hawkins
David Hawkins allegedly removed himself from official detention and faces an indictment for third-degree escape.
Ronroy L. Harris
On March 6, Ronroy Harris, 40, failed to show for a hearing on charges of distribution of a CDS. He was taken back into custody on July 7. Harris was indicted on third-degree bail jumping.
Thomas Edger
Thomas Edger was indicted for throwing bodily fluids at an officer of the Sheriff’s Department. The count was fourth degree.
Lawrence J. Gallo
While allegedly driving a vehicle under the influence, Lawrence Gallo, 34, struck a patrol car responding to an accident. Gallo faces two fourth-degree counts of aggravated assault and violation of public health and safety.
 
The individual(s) listed is/are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
