Indictments Filed Aug. 9

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 17 indictments Aug. 9. The abbreviation CDS is used for controlled dangerous substance. 
Kristine A. Fusco
Kristine Fusco. 28, of Wildwood, was arrested June 10 accused of driving while intoxicated. Since her alleged actions placed in jeopardy two children, ages 6 and 2 years old, she was indicted this week on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, each second degree. The indictment also alleges that she possessed amphetamine and buprenorphine leading two counts of third-degree possession of a CDS.
Arturio Fleuristal
Arturio Fleuristal, 21, of Wildwood, was indicted for third-degree prohibited weapon when he was alleged to be in possession of metal knuckles by Wildwood Police.
Sarah Giaccio
Sarah Giaccio, 27, of Wildwood, was indicted for possession of a CDS, methamphetamine, and resisting arrest by the use of threat of force. Both counts are third-degree charges.
Arnisa Hunter
On July 1 in Ocean City, police allege that Arnisa Hunter unlawfully entered a structure on West Avenue, did $500 worth of damage to property, and stole items valued at over $200. She was indicted for third-degree burglary as well as two fourth-degree counts of criminal mischief and theft.
Eric J. Panny
The grand jury handed up two separate indictments against Eric Panny, 33, of Green Creek. In one, Panny was indicted for fourth-degree shoplifting for allegedly taking more than $200 of merchandise from a national retailer’s store in Rio Grande on various dates in June. On June 17, the second indictment alleges that Panny was found in possession of two “Leatherman-style knives.”  Panny is not allowed to possess a weapon because of his 2007 conviction for possession of a firearm for unlawful purposes.
Lawrence Venturino
Lawrence Venturino Jr., 25, of Rio Grande, was indicted for two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one in the second degree and the other in the third degree.  He is accused of possessing and dealing in images or films of a child in a “prohibited sexual act.” The indictment alleges that these actions took place between February and May.
Cheyenne A. Warren
Cheyenne Warren, 19, of Belleplain, was indicted for theft and fencing stolen property, each in the third degree.  She allegedly took  $500 from a co-worker. Part of the money was still available to be restored to the victim.
Joseph Freeman, Pedro Velazquez-Martinez
Joseph Freeman, 46, and Pedro Velazquez-Martinez, 21, both of Wildwood, were indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS. They were also both indicted for third-degree burglary for allegedly unlawfully entering a dwelling on East Davis Avenue in Wildwood.
Melissa Vandvelt, Josue Capella
Josue Capella, 31, and Melissa Vandvelt, 35, both of Whitesboro, were indicted for possession of a CDS and possession with intent to distribute, each third-degree counts. Police served a search warrant on a home in Whitesboro allegedly finding 100 bags of heroin and $3,000 in cash.
Benito Martinez, Lamard Canty
A July 7 drug bust by Middle Township Police’s Street Crimes Unit resulted in the arrest of Benito Martinez, 37, and Lamard Canty, 33, both of Millville. They were allegedly in possession of heroin, cocaine, and alprazolam. They were indicted on three counts of possession of a CDS and two separate counts of possession with intent to distribute. Each of these counts was in the third degree except for one.
One of the counts of possession with intent to distribute was raised to the second degree due to the amount of cocaine involved. The grand jury also handed up an indictment count for second-degree conspiracy to distribute a CDS.
Indictments for possession of CDS
Gary Hutchinson, 32, of Berlin, Ryan Kennedy, 24, of Wildwood, Stephen Milligan, 35, of Philadelphia, and Charles Reinoehl, 43, of Wildwood,  were each separately indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS.
The above individuals are only charged with the offenses and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
