Indictments Filed Aug. 7

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 12 indictments Aug. 7.
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.  “Certain person not to have a weapon” is a charge that can be brought against individuals whose previous conviction(s) make it a crime for them to possess weapons.
The following actions are alleged by law enforcement agents. Persons named are innocent until proven otherwise in court.
Joanne Steel, Edward Connelly
Joanne Steel, 37, and Edward Connelly, 51, both of Villas, were indicted for possession of a CDS and conspiracy to possess a CDS, each count third degree. Steel also faces two counts of possession with intent to distribute, also third degree.
Michael Shorts, Victoria Novoa
Two Wildwood residents, Michael Shorts, and Victoria Novoa, were indicted for possession of a CDS, cocaine. Novoa also faces a count for possession of heroin and possession with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school. 
All counts were third degree.  A final second-degree count against Novoa is for possession of a CDS with intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property.
Martin Lindholm
Martin Lindholm, 63, of Rio Grande faces weapons charges stemming from a May 29 incident outside an apartment complex. Lindholm was indicted on two second-degree counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, a hand gun, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
Lindholm was also indicted for fourth-degree aggravated assault for pointing the gun at a person with whom he was arguing. A final certain person count in the second degree was added due to Lindholm’s 1974 conviction for escape.
Michael Mohr
Michael Mohr, of Dennis Township, was indicted for fourth-degree possession and possession with intent to distribute marijuana in an amount greater than one ounce. 
Possession of a Sig Sauer 9mm gun led to a final count for second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
Niki Kelley, Brian Schubert, Angela Utter
Niki Kelley, 26, of Erma, Brian Schubert, 28, of Rio Grande, and Angela Utter, 28, of Wildwood, were all indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, third degree.
Kelley and Schubert face an additional possession count for methamphetamine as well as a count for third-degree conspiracy.
Schubert alone was named on two counts for third-degree possession with intent to distribute.
Miguel A. Torres, Lance McLemore
Miguel Torres, of Wildwood, was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, heroin.
Separately Lance McLemore, of Dennis Township, also indicted for third-degree possession of heroin.
Richard Johnson
Richard Johnson was indicted for damage to county property valued at greater than $500. Johnson faces a third-degree count for criminal mischief.
Terrance Green
Terrance Green, of Wildwood, was indicted for terroristic threats, third degree.  The indictment claims that Green placed a female victim in fear of death when he threatened to kill her June 30 and again July 1.
William Camacho
William Camacho faces a fourth-degree indictment for criminal sexual contact stemming from a July 10 incident in Wildwood.
Kim Keeler, Maria Rehill
Kim Keeler, of Villas, and Maria Rehill, of Erma, were each indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS. Keeler faces two counts for heroin and methamphetamine possession, while Rehill is named in one count for heroin possession.
Joseph Crandley
Joseph Crandley, 39, of Cape May, was indicted on one count of second-degree robbery. Crandley is charged with robbing an Upper Township bank in June.
Police used surveillance camera footage and social media posts to locate and charge Crandley.
