Indictments Filed Aug. 15

COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 21 indictments Aug. 15. 
The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
The crime of “certain person” stands for someone not permitted to have a weapon. Individuals convicted of a felony are not allowed to carry a weapon. When such an individual is found in possession of a weapon, a “certain person” charge is usually added to the indictment.
Keith Chatelain, Charleen Bell
At 11:40 p.m. June 5, police served a search warrant on the Villas home of Keith Chatelain, 38, and Charleen Bell, 32. The result of that search resulted in a 16-count indictment. Nine of those counts were in the second degree with the remaining seven in the third degree.
The couple was indicted on multiple drug and weapons charges including four counts of possession of a CDS, four counts of possession with intent to distribute, four counts of possessing a weapon during the commission of a CDS crime, two counts of defacing a weapon, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The indictment states the couple was dealing cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, and buprenorphine.
Also, the weapons charges listed eight different firearms ranging from a defaced Phantom BB handgun to a Mossberg long rifle, two other rifles, and multiple handguns.
Two juveniles found in the home with the weapons and drugs led to the child endangerment counts.
Ronnie Erricson
A former corrections officer, who retired in 2010, was allegedly practicing as a psychologist without the proper degree or a state license.
Ronnie Erricson, of Middle Township, is said to have seen patients in his home knowing that he was doing so in violation of the Practicing Psychology Licensing Act. The patients were led to believe that Erricson had both a state license and a doctorate.  Among his patients were several juveniles. The indictment lists a minimum of 11 different patients.
Erricson was indicted on a third-degree charge of endangering the welfare of a child as well as the third-degree count of unauthorized practice of psychology.
Wyman Aston
Wyman Aston, 69, of Dennis Township, was indicted on two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two additional counts of sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The assaults took place on diverse dates between 2002 and 2005 when both victims were under the age of 13.
Mariya Starrett
Mariya Starrett, 31, of Absecon, served as the deputy court administrator in Lower Township when she allegedly began taking money from payments made by the public to the court. The total taken was said to exceed $3,000.
Starrett was indicted for second-degree official misconduct along with a count of third-degree theft.
Rudy Castillo
Rudy Castillo, 26, of Egg Harbor Township, was indicted for possession of a CDS, third degree. Castillo’s indictment says that the drug in question was 5-Fluoro ADB, a dangerous synthetic cannabinoid often discussed on the internet as a designer drug. It is said to be substantially more toxic than earlier synthetic cannabinoids.
Tamburrah Davis
Tamburrah Davis, of Upper Township, was indicted for unlawful possession of a weapon, second degree, prohibited weapon, fourth degree and a certain person, second degree.
According to the indictment, Davis had been previously convicted of robbery in Virginia.  State Police stated they arrested Davis, who was in possession of an Ekol Firat Magnum handgun.
Nikki DeBona, Richard Irons, Jason Popplewell
Nikki DeBona, 31, Richard Irons, 34, and Jason Popplewell, 32, all of Villas, were indicted for two counts of possession of a CDS, heroin, and cocaine.
Justin B. Williams
Justin Williams, 27, of Whitesboro, was indicted for possession of a CDS, third degree.  The drug was a form of synthetic cannabinoid.
Bianca Ravel
Bianca Ravel, 21, of Wildwood Crest, was indicted on three third degree counts of theft, attempted theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.
The indictment maintains that Ravel took and used a credit card that belonged to a female victim. The card was used at Western Union, PayPal, and Amazon. These uses allegedly occurred in March and April. An alleged attempt to again take the card from the same victim led to her arrest in May.
Will C. Reid
Will Reid, of Middle Township, was indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS, cocaine, as well as the distribution of a CDS.
Dennis Wyatt
Dennis Wyatt, 56, of Burleigh, was indicted for third-degree burglary. Wyatt allegedly made an unlawful entry into the Dollar General store on Indian Trail Road.
James Powell, Dana Powell-Robinson
James Powell, 38, and Dana Powell-Robinson, 35, both of the Edgewood section of Middle Township, were indicted for third-degree possession of a CDS and possession with intent to distribute. The drug in question was cocaine.
Miguel Echeuerria, Fermin Barrios, Silfred Hernandez 
Miguel Echeuerria, 30, Fermin Barrios, 22, and Silfred Hernandez, 30, all of Wildwood, were indicted for possession of a CDS, cocaine. 
Anthony Jordan and Breanna Snyder
Anthony Jordan, 35, and Breanna Snyder, both of Wildwood, were indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin, and possession with intent to distribute.  The two were also facing a third count of third-degree conspiracy.
Khadere Hill and Randy Williams
Khadere Hill, of Ocean City, was indicted for possession of a CDS and possession with intent to distribute, both third degree.
Randy Williams, also of Ocean City, shared the indictment but the two individuals were never part of the same count within the indictment.
Williams is facing counts of uttering a forged instrument and issuing bad checks. He allegedly deposited two checks he knew the bank would not honor for $2,500 and $2,000 respectively. The checks were drawn on the account of a juvenile who was allegedly part of a conspiracy with Williams.
Williams faces an additional count in the second degree for using a juvenile in the commission of a crime.
Edward Gillespe
Edward Gillespe, 22, of Havertown, Pa., was indicted for possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, second degree, as well as possession of prohibited devices. Gillespe was allegedly in possession of a Glock 9 mm handgun and hollow point bullets.
Nicholas Hasher
Nicholas Hasher, 27, of Philadelphia, was indicted for possession of a CDS, heroin. The alleged incident occurred in North Wildwood in June.
Sommer Iovacchini
Sommer Iovacchini, 39, of North Wildwood, was indicted for possession of a CDS, third degree, two counts. The drugs involved were heroin and cocaine.
Iovacchini’s alleged attempts to conceal evidence and otherwise avoid arrest led to added fourth degree counts for tampering with evidence, obstructing the administration of law and hindering apprehension.
Michael Moss
Michael Moss was indicted for defrauding a drug test, third degree, and possessing a device to defraud a drug test, fourth degree.
Khaseam Myers
Khaseam Myers, 26, of Court House, was indicted for unlawful possession of a weapon, second degree, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, fourth degree, and prohibited weapon, fourth degree.
Myers was allegedly in possession of a Taurus Millennium G2 handgun with a defaced serial number when pulled over for a motor vehicle stop.
Hilario Ortiz-Sandoval
Hilario Ortiz-Sandoval, of Wildwood, was indicted for first-degree aggravated sexual assault, and second-degree sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
The alleged offense occurred in May 2015 when the victim was under 16-years-old. The indictment claims that Ortiz-Sandoval had a duty to care for the victim as a “guardian or foster parent.” 
The above individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
