COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 25 indictments April 5. The abbreviation CDS used here is for controlled dangerous substance.
Malick M. Philppe, Patricia A. Gregory, Michael P. Kelly
New Year’s Eve was not a good night for Malick Philppe, 24, of Jamaica; N.Y. Philppe was a passenger in a car being driven by Patricia Gregory, 47, of Del Haven, when the car was stopped by Wildwood police. Gregory was charged with driving while intoxicated and later found to be in possession methamphetamine. Philppe, in the back seat, was asked to step out of the car for safety reasons. Police alleged that he attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended. Police said that Philppe was found to be in possession of heroin and had an unlawful weapon, a Walther PPK handgun.
Philppe was indicted for possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to distribute a CDS, all third degree. The handgun led to indictments for unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon while committing a CDS crime, both second degree. Gregory was indicted for possession of a CDS and conspiracy, both third degree.
A third passenger, Michael Kelly, 22, also of Del Haven, was included in the conspiracy indictment.
Alan Trost, Adam Watson, Rebecca Sparks, Jackie Schneider, Andrew Rourke
In December 2015, Alan Trost, 55, of Wildwood, allegedly stole a prescription blank from a local physician. According to police, Trost forged a prescription of oxycodone and Adam Watson, 29, of Dias Creek, presented it as real at a local pharmacy using insurance to cover the medication cost.
Trost was indicted for theft, forgery, attempting to obtain a CDS by fraud, and conspiracy, all third degree offenses. Watson shared in the indictments for conspiracy and attempting to obtain a CDS by fraud. Added to Watson’s charges were indictments for uttering a false instrument and insurance fraud, both third degree.
Three other individuals were added to the third degree indictment for conspiracy: Rebecca Sparks, Jackie Schneider, 31, of Goshen, and Andrew Rourke, 28, also of Goshen.
Jonathan Rodriquez, Jeremiah Rodriquez
Middle Township police continued their crackdown on drug crimes. In February Jonathan Rodriquez was arrested for possession of heroin and Jeremiah Rodriquez for possession of buprenorphine. Each was indicted this week for possession of a CDS, third degree.
Andrew Klinedinst, Michael Rouleau, Juan Ruiz-Perez, Paul Tripoli
In separate indictments three men were indicted for bail jumping and one for escape. Each indictment was third degree.
Paul M. Tripoli, 39, was given temporary leave from incarceration Dec. 31, 2015. He failed to return at the agreed upon time. He was later apprehended and was indicted this week for escape.
Juan Ruiz-Perez, 32, of Wildwood was at liberty on charges of distribution of CDS. He failed to show for a hearing Feb. 25 now has the added indictment for bail jumping.
Michael Rouleau had been released upon requirement that he show for a hearing Jan. 9 regarding charges of resisting arrest in the third degree. He was indicted for bail jumping for failure to show.
Andrew Klinedinst was indicted for bail jumping when he failed twice to appear for hearings related to charges that he eluded police in a motor vehicle.
Edwin Gonzalez-Ayala
Edwin Gonzalez-Ayala, 26, of Wildwood, was indicted for possession of a CDS, possession with intent to distribute, and intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, all third degree. Added to the indictment was possession with intent to distribute within 500 feet of public property, a second degree crime. Gonzalez-Ayala allegedly possessed heroin with intent to distribute near Garden Park and Cape Trinity Catholic School in Wildwood.
Michael D. Breslin
Michael Breslin, 26, of Lindenwold allegedly threw bodily fluids at Sherriff’s Officers and a registered nurse numerous times over the span of six days from Jan. 23 to 29. He was indicted for six separate counts of throwing bodily fluids, fourth degree.
Amber Keys
Amber Keys, 26, of Ocean View, was indicted for third degree theft. Over a period from April 2013 to January 2016, Keys allegedly took moveable property from a local merchant. The accumulated theft had to exceed $500 for the crime to be third degree.
Chantelle T. Reid
Chantelle Reid was indicted for third degree theft. Reid allegedly took more than $500 in property from the Cape May County Sherriff’s Office during the period from February to August 2015.
Christopher Fitzpatrick, Harmony Terrell
A joint investigation by Middle Township Police and State Police from Woodbine Barracks resulted in drug charges against Christopher Fitzpatrick, 39, and Harmony Terrell, 22, both of Court House. The two were seen by police allegedly selling heroin in the parking lot of a local bar and eatery. Both have been indicted for possession of a CDS, possession with intent to distribute, and conspiracy to distribute a CDS, all third degree.
Matthew Flood, Joshua Grant
A motor vehicle stop in Dennis Township resulted in indictments for Matthew Flood, 37, of Ocean City, and Joshua Grant, 26, of Millville for possession of CDS, third degree.
Robin Grimes
Robin Grimes, 54, was indicted for third degree terroristic threats. She allegedly threatened another woman with assault in February.
The above individuals are only charged with the offenses and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
