COURT HOUSE – A Cape May County grand jury handed up 19 indictments April 17. The abbreviation CDS below stands for controlled dangerous substance.
The following actions are alleged by law enforcement agents. Persons named are innocent until proven otherwise in court.
Dennis M. Niceler
Dennis Niceler, of Atlantic County, was indicted on two burglaries dating to 2015 and 2017. The indictment claims that Niceler unlawfully entered the tavern in Court House Nov. 20, 2017 and a market in Rio Grande June 1, 2015. In both cases property was taken valued in excess of $500. Niceler faces two counts of third-degree burglary and theft. The indictment also contains two additional counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Stacey L. Alnatshah
Stacey Alnatshah, 41, of North Cape May, was indicted for third-degree burglary.
Herbert J. White
Herbert White was indicted for fourth-degree cruelty and neglect of children. The incident that gave rise to the indictment occurred in Ocean City Feb. 27.
William J. Sala
William Sala faces an indictment for criminal trespass. The indictment claims that Sala trespassed at a bank branch in North Wildwood between Feb. 17 and 21.
Elissa M. West, Mark J. Zinkewich, Timothy Boyle, Jennifer Day, John Ernst, Jessica Chase, Desiree Geier, Cynthia A. Warrington, Christopher McHugh, Manuel A. Nieves
In separate indictments, the individuals listed face counts for third-degree possession of a CDS.
William R. Callahan
William Callahan, of Dennis Township, was indicted for fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.
Lisa A. Dispenza
Lisa Dispenza, 32, was indicted for third-degree burglary. According to the indictment, she unlawfully entered a Ford Focus in Ocean City in January.
Charles F. Frederick
The indictment returned against Charles Frederick maintains that Frederick assaulted a male victim with a pipe in March in Wildwood Crest. He faces three counts, two third-degree counts of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, along with a fourth-degree count of unlawful possession of a weapon.
Jimmy W. McCray
Jimmy McCray faces an indictment for third-degree theft, forgery, and uttering a false instrument. The indictment states that McCray forged a check on the account of an Ocean City motel, making it payable to himself. The check amount was $2,500.
Elijah C. Lugo
Elijah Lugo, of Wildwood, was indicted for endangering the welfare of a child, second degree. The child was 1-year-old, and the indictment claims the conditions met the statutory definition of “abuse or neglect.” Conviction of a second-degree offense can carry a prison term of between five and 10 years.
Shane T. Mack
Arrested in Ocean City in July 2017, Shane Mack faces an indictment for third-degree aggravated sexual contact along with endangering the welfare of a child under the age of 16.
Michael J. Lea
Michael Lea, of Upper Township, was indicted on two counts of fourth-degree cruelty and neglect of children. Each count involved the same 9-year-old child with incidents cited in October 2016, and November 2017.
