COURT HOUSE — An investigation by township police lead to the arrest of a husband and wife in a rash of burglaries throughout Cape May County.
According to police, Christopher Lamonica, 38 and his wife, Torri Lamonica, 28, of the Edgewood section of the township were arrested Nov. 6 and charged with multiple charges relating to the alleged burglaries.
Over the course of their investigation, police learned jewelry and silver coins had been taken from two homes in Middle Township, two residences in Lower Township and one in Upper Township.
As the result of a cooperative investigation between Middle Township police, Lower Township police and State Police, Christopher and Torri Lamonica were interviewed and admitted their involvement in the burglaries.
Christopher Lamonica was charged with burglary and theft. He was remanded to the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Torri Lamonica was charged with receiving stolen property and fencing (selling stolen property). She was released on her own recognizance.
