Hometown Security Seminar Set for Sept. 18 in Cape May

COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland has announced a Hometown Security Seminar Sept. 18, from10 a.m. and noon, at the Cape May Convention Center, 714 Beach Ave., Cape May.
The event is being held in conjunction with the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness in collaboration with the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, Cape May County Office of Emergency Management and Cape May Police Department.
The seminar is a collaborative effort to discuss tools and resources that help strengthen the security and resilience of communities across New Jersey, according to a release.
Topics to be discussed include Suspicious Activity Reporting, Physical Protective Measures and Cyber security Resources for Small Businesses. The seminar is designed to give the community, local businesses, and community leaders an opportunity to meet and have open discussions with local, county, state and federal law enforcement and Homeland Security organizations about their hometown security concerns.
The seminar is free, and anyone can attend.
