COURT HOUSE – Middle Township Police Department investigated a reported attempted robbery, which occurred Nov. 13 at approximately 11 p.m. at a residence located on Heritage Drive in Court House.
It was reported two individuals, one of whom the victim was familiar with, arrived at the residence with a rifle. Upon seeing the rifle, a physical altercation ensued and ultimately the victim was able to take possession of the rifle and the two individuals left the residence in a minivan.
One of the individuals was identified as Maxcreek Cooper, 26, of Villas, however, the other individual has yet to be identified. The unidentified individual is described as a black male approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall.
Cooper was located the following day and charged with attempted robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated assault, and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
