Herald Photos Aid Shoplifting Arrest

CAPE MAY— Cape May police arrested Suzann Neiman, 69, of North Cape May for shoplifting after the Herald published photos both online and in the weekly print edition from a security camera from Andrews Unlimited Antique Store on the Washington Street Mall here.
The suspect in the security photo was wanted for the theft a $450 yellow, glass bowl from the antique store on Aug. 6.
According to a press release from Cape May Police Department, in cooperation with the Herald and Cape May County Crimestoppers Program, the arrest was made after tips were received as to the identity of the suspect.
Detective Doug Henderson arrested Neiman Aug. 18 without incident. She was charged with shoplifting, a crime of the fourth degree, and released on summons pending a hearing in Cape May Municipal Court.
