WILDWOOD — Labor Day was no holiday for Wildwood police officers.
At 9:44 a.m., they received a report from the 100 block East Garfield Avenue of a man with a hand gun.
When they investigated, they learned that Isaac Williams, a city Public Works employee had been threatened by a man with a handgun on his person. The perpetrator was last seen entering a rear apartment at 145 E. Garfield Ave.
Officers went to that unit to speak with the person. They later spoke to four people, all of whom were arrested at the rear apartment, 145 E. Garfield. A search warrant was obtained, and that search produced a loaded, .32 caliber handgun, over one half ounce of cocaine, allegedly packed for distribution, drug paraphernalia and forged blank prescription pads.
Police arrested Kylef Anderson, 31, an unemployed recreation worker, and Naomi Fisher, 19, unemployed; both were residents at 145 E. Garfield. Both were charged with possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, possession of prohibited weapons, possession of hollow point ammunition, possession of cocaine over one-half ounce, possession with intent to distribute cocaine within 500 feet of public housing, conspiracy to distribute cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute, forgery, and possession of forgery devices.
Anderson was additionally charged with terroristic threats and being a certain person in possession of a weapon.
Also arrested was Leroy Peay, 30, an unemployed electrician, who resides at 5012 Wakefield St., Philadelphia, and Donald Smith, 31, a construction worker with HMS Construction, Philadelphia.
They were charged with possession of cocaine over one-half ounce, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute over one-half ounce, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute within 500 feet of public housing, conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
Smith was additionally charged with separate counts of possession of cocaine under one-helf ounce, and possession of cocaine under one-half ounce with intent to distribute.
Municipal Court Judge David DeWeese set bail for Anderson and Fisher at $100,000, and for Smith and Peay, $50,000.
All four were remanded to county jail in lieu of bail.
