Funeral Service Set for Middle Township Homicide Victim

The victim of last weeks homicide in Del Haven Ronald M. Denny Sr., will be laid to rest on Wednesday, August 18.
Denny was shot to death on the front lawn of his house on 10th Street on Wed., Aug. 11. Denny’s uncle, Frederick G. Marr, 71, was arrested in Volusia County, Fla., the next day in connection with the fatal shooting.
Marr has not been charged in connection with the shooting.

Ronald M Denny, Sr., 50, of Del Haven, suddenly on Wednesday August 11, 2010. Born February 11, 1960 he was a lifelong resident of Cape May county with strong ties to the community. He was a 1978 graduate of Lower Twp. High School and Ron is a hard worker.
He has been a Correctional Officer with the Southern State Prison in Leesburg for the last eight years. He also owned and operated his own landscaping and excavating business. This kind and helpful man is survived by his father, Robert M. Denny Sr.; his mother Sandra J. Denny; siblings, Robert M. Denny Jr. and Audrey Carr; his children; Mindy Denny, Kristy Hegarty (Joseph) and Ronald Denny Jr. along with grandchildren, Ava, Mia and one on the way
We will always remember Ron as an adamant Nascar and Phillies fan, His favorite past time was rebuilding his Mustangs. He will be remembered fondly for duct tape, his big dump truck, last one at softball games, playing in work boots, homeruns and sideburns. He was loved by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010, noon at Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Burial is private.
