This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood police received a call about suspicious activity at a residence on the 1400 block Delaware Avenue.
Officers Mark Santiago, Jerald Garriott, and Steven Linde responded to the area Sept. 20 at approximately 10:57 p.m. and saw a woman sitting in a vehicle outside the residence. Further investigation revealed the rear door of the residence in question was forced open.
Officers searched the residence and found two men inside hiding in a bathroom. The two men, Robert Portune and Johnathon Reyes, and the woman, Danielle Gennarelli, were all arrested at the scene for burglary of the residence.
Robert L. Portune, 35, residing in Vacaville, Calif., was a wanted person by the FBI’s Sacramento office for weapons related charges. Portune was charged with being a fugitive from justice out of the state of California, burglary, theft, criminal mischief, hindering apprehension, disorderly conduct and conspiracy.
He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center where he is awaiting extradition back to California.
Johnathon L. Reyes, 21, residing in Green Creek, was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and conspiracy. He was released on a summons pending court.
Danielle Gennarelli, 25, residing in North Wildwood, was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, hindering apprehension, disorderly conduct and conspiracy. She was released on a summons pending court.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
