WILDWOOD – Members of the Wildwood Police Department Street Crimes Unit concluded a four-week investigation concerning the sales of narcotics from a residence located in the 100 block West Wildwood Avenue in Wildwood Jan. 31.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., Cape May County SWAT Team executed a court authorized search warrant targeting the aforementioned residence, in connection to the illicit sales of narcotics from the residence.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, distribution quantities of heroin were recovered during the search of the premises. The controlled dangerous substances seized in connection with this investigation were prepackaged for street level sales. Additionally seized in connection to the search of the premises were narcotics paraphernalia and approximately $380 which was identified as proceeds of the illicit street level sales and distribution of narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, Anthony Jordan, 35, of Wildwood, was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, third degree, distribution of heroin, third degree, distribution of heroin within 500′ of certain public property, second degree, distribution of heroin in a school zone, third degree, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia, disorderly persons offense.
Judge Andrew Cafiero, of the Wildwood Municipal Court, authorized the warrant complaint for Jordan. Jordan was served his copy of the warrant complaint and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
