Four Face Charges After Raid Nets Drugs, Cash, Gun

WILDWOOD – Members of the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division and the Wildwood Police Department Street Crimes Unit concluded a six week investigation concerning the sales of narcotics from a residence in the 100 block of West Roberts Avenue, located in the City of Wildwood.
At approximately 7 p.m. Nov. 16, members of the Cape May County SWAT Team executed a court authorized search warrant targeting the aforementioned residence in connection to the illicit sales of narcotics from the multi-family residence.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, quantities of narcotics, specifically heroin, cocaine and marijuana, were recovered during the search of the premises. The controlled dangerous substances seized in connection to the investigation were prepackaged for street level sales and had an estimated street value of approximately $1,500. Additionally seized in connection to the execution of the search warrant was a loaded 9mm Ruger semi-automatic handgun loaded with hollow point ammunition, narcotics paraphernalia and cash, which was identified as proceeds of the illicit street level sales and distribution of narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, four individuals were arrested in connection to the street level sales/distribution scheme. The following individuals were identified and charged with the appropriate criminal offenses concerning the illicit sales of narcotics. It should be noted that this investigation was a collaborative effort from the community, and several concerned citizen sources were critical in providing relevant and updated information leading to the arrest of the defendants and the seizure of narcotics, which were ultimately earmarked for those individual(s) addicted to the opiate-based narcotics which are inundating and overwhelming our communities.
William Jones, 27, currently residing in the City of Wildwood was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 1000′ of school property, possession of cocaine, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of marijuana, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Bail was authorized by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant of the Wildwood Municipal Court at $80,000 cash/bond no ten percent all charges. Jones was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Kelisha Johnson, 28, currently residing in the City of Wildwood was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 1000′ of school property, possession of cocaine, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of marijuana, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. Johnson was released on criminal summons complaints pending a future court appearance.
Irwin Rishton, 29, currently residing in Brooklyn, N.Y. was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon “handgun,” possession of a handgun for an unlawful purpose, possession of a defaced handgun, possession of hollow point ammunition, certain persons not to possess a handgun and obstruction. Bail was authorized by Judge Garrabrant at $125,000 cash/bond no ten percent all charges. Rishton was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Kursam Maxius, 24, currently residing in North Cape May was charged with being under the influence of narcotics and obstruction. Maxius was released on a criminal summons complaint pending a future court appearance.  
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
