Four Charged in Home Invasion, Owner Assaulted, Cash Taken

VILLAS – Lower Township Police responded to the 200 block Arbor Road in Villas Nov. 22 at approximately 12:30 p.m. for a reported robbery and burglary.
The residents reported answering the door and as they were allowing one of the subjects into the house all four pushed past the resident and into the house. Once inside the home, the actors knocked a female to the ground that was holding a newborn infant and physically assaulted a male in the home, striking him with a guitar that was located in the residence.
After the assault, the actors fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash from the home. The male was treated for minor injuries on scene by Lower Township Rescue Squad.
As a result of the investigation by Lower Township Police, the following were charged with the listed offenses:
Marcus Wright, 25, of Villas, was charged with burglary, robbery, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, theft, criminal mischief and conspiracy. Wright was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $150,000 bail.  
Edward Arroyo, 26, of Del Haven, was charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and conspiracy. Arroyo was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $150,000 bail.  
Jonathan Fernandez, 26, of Villas, was charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon and conspiracy. Fernandez was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $150,000 bail.  
Nathaniel Richardson, 28, of Court House, was charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, theft, criminal mischief and conspiracy. Richardson was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $150,000 bail.  
This case is being investigated by Patrolman Saini, Detective Boyle and Detective Perry.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
