Four Charged in Connection with Stabbing Incident

WILDWOOD – Members of the Wildwood Police Department Uniform Patrol Division responded to the 100 Block of East Davis Avenue on a report of a stabbing Sunday, April 26 at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Upon arrival to the scene, the victim was identified as Filipe Lujane Martinez, 25, who resides in the City of Wildwood. Martinez was located on the exterior second floor landing of a multi-family complex with a single stab wound to his left forearm. Initially, Martinez was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center, at which time he was medevaced to Atlantic City Trauma Center for the injuries sustained during the altercation. Martinez is currently in guarded but stable condition, at the medical facility.
During the developing investigation by the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division, and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, a court authorized search warrant was executed in the 100 Block of East Davis Avenue in connection to the investigation. Through further investigation, the following is a list of individuals arrested and the appropriate criminal charges filed against the defendants:
Fernando Olivera-Santos, 36, currently residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with aggravated assault (second degree), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (third degree), and possession of a prohibited weapon (a crime of the fourth degree). Dorothy Garrabrant, judge of the Wildwood Municipal Court set bail at $100,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Olivera-Santos was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
Salvador Matias-Hernandez, 48, currently residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with aggravated assault (second degree), possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (third degree), and possession of a prohibited weapon (a crime of the fourth degree). Judge Dorothy Garrabrant set bail at $100,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Matias-Hernandez was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
Gonzalo Jimenez-Mendoza, 19, currently residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with obstruction of the administration of law (a crime of the forth degree). Judge Dorothy Garrabrant set bail at $2,500 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Jimenez-Mendoza was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
Juan Vidal-Salinas, 21, currently residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with obstruction of the administration of law (a crime of the fourth degree) and disorderly conduct (a disorderly persons offense). Judge Dorothy Garrabrant set bail at $2,500 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Vidal-Salinas was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of bail.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
