Former Ocean City Teacher Sentenced for Sex with Student

COURT HOUSE – A former Ocean City High School teacher was sentenced to five years in state prison July 25 after he was convicted of having sexual conduct with a student.
Ricardo Valle, 35, of Seabrook, Texas, admitted sexual conduct with a student while he was still a teacher in June 2016, according to a release from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office. He was found guilty of endangering the welfare of a child, a crime of the second degree.
As part of his plea agreement, Valle had to forfeit his teaching certificate, forgo future public service and register under Megan’s Law as a sex offender after his release from prison. 
At the time of his arrest in Feb. 2021, Valle resided in Texas and was a teacher in Houston.
The investigation that led to Valle’s arrest, conviction and sentencing was conducted by the Special Victims Unit of the county Prosecutor’s Office along with detectives from the Ocean City Police Department.
