Former Ocean City Firefighter Behind Bars for Child Endangerment

OCEAN CITY – Bartholomew Allegretto was arrested in 2008 on charges of aggravated sexual assault and for allegedly providing alcohol to underage girls on May 16, 2008. All of the girls were younger than 16 at the time.
Allegretto, a former Ocean City firefighter, appeared in Cape May County Superior Court last week and plead guilty to charges of endangering the welfare of a child. He was sentenced to seven years in prison.
He was also charged with witness tampering.
