ERMA — On July 13, Lower Township police reported that they had received information from Middle Township police regarding a possible sexual assault of a 17-year-old female that had occurred in Lower Township.
Lower Township and county Prosecutors Office detectives determined that the incident took place at a secluded location of Erma during the late evening to early morning hours of July 12 and 13.
Investigation revealed that a 22-year-old male had sexually assaulted the 17-year-old female.
On July 14 detectives arrested the adult male identified as Michael Senger, 22, of the 700 block of Weeks Landing Road in Erma. Senger was charged with one count of second-degree sexual assault.
He was lodged in county jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail issued by Superior Court Judge Raymond Batten.
Lower Township detectives Art Mason, Joseph Boyle, Mel Hedum and members of the county Prosecutors Office conducted the investigation.
