MARMORA – New Jersey State Police (NJSP), with the help of social media, apprehended a suspect who allegedly stole four cases of Red Bull, worth more than $80, from a Marmora grocery store Feb. 10, according to a post on NJSP’s Facebook page.
According to the post, social media users quickly linked the suspect to Brick Police Department’s Facebook page, where they too were seeking assistance with identifying a shoplifting suspect.
As a result, a cooperative investigation with Brick Police Department ensued, and on March 2, David P. Grimes, Jr., 44, of Bridgewater, N.J., reported to Woodbine Station where he was arrested and charged with shoplifting. He was also charged with offenses by Brick Police Department.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
