WHITESBORO – Members of the Middle Township Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit with the assistance of the Cape May County Swat Team Sept. 8 at approximately 5 a.m., simultaneously executed two narcotics search warrants in Whitesboro.
At an address on the 400 block W. Main Street, Dwayne Wakefield, 47, and Angel Davis, 28, both of that address were arrested and over one ounce of cocaine, 3.5 grams of heroin, an amount of marijuana and over $1,200 was seized. There were also six six juveniles under the age of 8 in the residence.
Wakefield was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute over a half ounce, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute under a half ounce, possession of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public place (bike path), possession of a weapon by a certain persons, three counts of possession of a weapon (two crossbows and a taser), and child endangerment. Wakefield was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $200,000 full cash bail set by Municipal Court Judge Dorothy Garrabrant.
Davis was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute over a half ounce, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of CDS with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of a public place (bike path).
At an address on the 200 block Reeves Street, Justin Williams, 26, and Jeremy Williams, 28, both of that address, were arrested and an amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were recovered.
Jeremy Williams was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and Justin Williams was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both Justin and Jeremy Williams were released on summons.
