Drug Sweep Nets Eleven

WILDWOOD – Members of the Wildwood Police Department Detective Division, along with members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Guns,Gangs & Narcotics Task Force, concluded a one-month-long investigation in connection to the active sales of illicit narcotics from the 100 West Block of Roberts Avenue, located in the City of Wildwood, Wednesday, April 22.
During the developing investigation, it was determined that individuals involved in the street level sales of narcotics were utilizing a motel located in the 100 West Block of Roberts Avenue, during the illicit sales of controlled dangerous substances. This agency had received information from citizen sources in this neighborhood regarding the open market street level sales of narcotics which have assisted law enforcement in the active investigation.
At approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, the Cape May County Special Weapons and Tactics Team executed two court authorized search warrants targeting units of the motel. As a result of the execution of the search warrants, distribution quantities of heroin and marijuana were recovered during the search of the premises. Additionally, a third unit located at the motel complex, was identified as having involvement in the illicit sales of narcotics resulting in the search of the premise.
As a result of the execution of the search warrants of the aforementioned motel units, distribution quantities of heroin and marijuana were recovered during the search of the individual motel units. The controlled dangerous substances seized in connection to the investigation were pre-packaged for street level sales. Additionally seized in connection to the search of the premises were narcotics paraphernalia, hypodermic syringes and $1,100, which was identified as proceeds of illicit sales and distribution of narcotics.
As a result of the investigation, 11 individuals were arrested in connection to the street level narcotics scheme. The following individuals were arrested and charged with the appropriate criminal offenses concerning the illicit sales of narcotics:
Kevin Vega-Aguilar, 23, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia (a disorderly persons offense), possession of heroin (a crime of the third degree), possession of heroin with the intent to distribute (a crime of the third degree), possession of heroin with the intent to distribute within 1000′ of school property (a crime of the third degree), possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute with 1000′ of school property ( a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Dorothy Garrabrant, judge of the Wildwood Municipal Court at $110,000 cash/ bond, no 10 percent all charges. Vega-Aguilar was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Manuel Aviles-Rodriguez, 24, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property (a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $55,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Aviles-Rodriguez was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Jose Aviles-Rodriguez, 24, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property (a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $55,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Aviles-Rodriguez was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Kenzy Valentin-Valent, 20, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property (a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $55,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Valentin-Valent was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Pedro Lopez-Acevedo, 31, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property ( a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $70,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Lopez-Acevedo was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Erick Arocho-Sanchez, 22, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property (a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $55,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Arocho-Sanchez was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Jonathan Ramos-Ocasio, 27, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property (a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $70,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Ramos-Ocasio was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Josue Arocho-Sanchez, 22, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property ( a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $35,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Arocho-Sanchez was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Omayra Sanchez-lrizarr, 43, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense), possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute (a crime of the fourth degree), and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of school property ( a crime of the third degree). Bail was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant at $35,000 cash/bond, no 10 percent all charges. Sanchez -lrizarr was unable to post bail and was incarcerated at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Egar Nieves, 26, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense). Nieves was issued a criminal summons complaint and released pending a future court appearance.
Xavier Alicea-Goicochea, 19, residing in the City of Wildwood, was charged with possession of marijuana (a disorderly persons offense). Alicea-Goicochea was issued a criminal summons complaint and released pending a future court appearance.
This investigation is continuing.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
