VILLAS – Detectives from the Lower Township Police Department stopped a man wanted on warrants from Cape May County Superior Court, Wildwood, and West Wildwood, Feb. 5 at approximately 2:20 p.m., in the area of Bayshore Road and West Tampa Avenue in Villas.
According to a release, during a search after his arrest, Joseph DeJames, Jr., of North Cape May, was found to be in possession of narcotics, specifically heroin.
DeJames was taken to the Lower Township Police Department for processing on criminal charges. The charges included possession of CDS (Schedule I-IV) and three counts of contempt of court, for failing to appear on the outstanding warrants.
DeJames was charged on a summons for the heroin with a pending court date. He was then transported to Cape May County Correctional Center for the contempt charges.
The individual(s) listed is/are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
