Driver Flees After Hitting Pedestrian in Upper Township

MARMORA– State Police are investigating a reported hit and run crash involving a pedestrian on Thursday night.
State Police responded to the scene on the 400 block of Stagecoach Road at 12:20 a.m., on Friday, July 23.
According to reports a dark in color Saturn Scion fled the scene in the direction of the Garden State Parkway.
Trooper Ryan of the Woodbine station who is investigating the incident said the victim had a head laceration and was complaining of pain at the scene. Ryan declined to identify the victim at this early stage of his investigation.
South Star medevac was requested to the scene to airlift the victim to the trauma unit at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. The flight crew reported the patient was in stable condition.
Ryan said they are not actively looking for any suspects and they believe they know who is responsible.
