NORTH WILDWOOD – North Wildwood Police received a call for a report of a disorderly person aboard New Jersey Transit Bus Route 552 Dec. 8 at approximately 12:13 a.m.
Officers Laura Loftus and Justin Robinson responded to the bus which was stopped at the intersection of Anglesea Drive and Spruce Avenue.
Officers entered the bus and saw the accused, Thomas Sexton, trying to hide under the seat. As officers approached Sexton, they could see him trying to conceal several pills that were scattered on the seat. Sexton, 27, residing in North Cape May, was arrested and charged with possession of prescription legend drugs with intent to distribute.
Sexton was transported to the Cape May County Correctional Center where officers found additional pills and heroin concealed on him. Sexton was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute and possession of heroin. Judge Louis J. Belasco, Jr. issued a warrant and set bail for Sexton at $12,500.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
