Crest Police Arrest Young Man for Threatening Family

WILDWOOD CREST – Police arrested a man for making terroristic threats late Aug. 15.
Officers responded to a call reporting a disturbance in the 100 East block of Orchid Avenue at 11:54 p.m., according to a Wildwood Crest police release.
 Upon arriving, officers entered the home and found Kevin Castro-Gonzalez, 18, holding a knife. He dropped the knife, but still struggled when police arrested him. 
Further investigation revealed that he had been making threats toward family members in the residence prior to the officers’ arrival.
Castro-Gonzalez is charged with terroristic threats, possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose, endangering the welfare of children, resisting arrest, aggravated assault on law enforcement and unlawful possession of a weapon.
He is currently being held at the Cape May County Correctional Facility.
Any charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
