WILDWOOD CREST – On Feb. 6, at approximately 10:52 p.m., Wildwood Crest Police Department received a report of two subjects acting suspicious behind a residence on the 200 East block Lotus Avenue.
According to a release, the residence was not occupied at the time.
Upon officer’s arrival, a female subject, identified as Kristen Apple-Millar, 40, of Pennsylvania, was apprehended and found in possession of a crow bar.
Prying tools were located at the scene, as well as a black Cadillac Escalade, belonging to the suspects, bearing stolen Pennsylvania license plates, which was found backed into the driveway of the residence.
The second subject, later identified as Gregory Giuliano, 33, also of Pennsylvania, ran from officers as they responded. Two other residences on the 200 East block Lotus Avenue were found broken into, with drugs and paraphernalia belonging to the suspects located in one of those residences.
Giuliano was later apprehended with the assistance of the Cape May County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit on Feb. 7, during the early afternoon while hiding in the attic of a 100 East Monterey Avenue residence where Giuliano and Apple- Millar had been staying.
During the course of the investigation, Wildwood Crest detectives learned that both Giuliano and Apple-Millar were involved in multiple burglaries in Wildwood Crest, as well as in other surrounding jurisdictions. Both were also found to have active warrants from Pennsylvania for multiple burglaries and thefts in Hatfield, Pa., as well as for probation and parole violations.
Middle Township police were also able to identify both Giuliano and Apple-Millar in a theft incident involving the theft of thousands of dollars. A large amount of cash was recovered during the arrest of Apple-Millar.
Items of a commercial burglary that was reported to Lower Township were also recovered during an execution of a search warrant by Wildwood Crest Police detectives where Giuliano and Apple-Millar had been staying.
Giuliano was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, burglars tools, criminal mischief, possession of controlled dangerous substance (suspected heroin), possession of controlled dangerous substance (suspected methamphetamine, paraphernalia (hypodermic syringes), possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, obstructing justice, and fugitive from justice.
Apple-Millar was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, burglars tools, criminal mischief, possession of controlled dangerous substance (suspected heroin), possession of controlled dangerous substance (suspected methamphetamine), paraphernalia (hypodermic syringes), possession of drug paraphernalia, and fugitive from justice.
Both Giuliano and Apple-Millar were processed and lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
Multiple additional charges are currently pending as further investigations reveal additional crimes committed by both Giuliano and Apple-Millar.
The individual(s) listed is/are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
