Crest Man Charged With Motor Vehicle Theft

This report is based on information received from law enforcement.

WILDWOOD CREST – Wildwood Crest Police Department received a report of a burglary and stolen motor vehicle from a local residence Oct. 25 after the residents learned that their vehicle was involved in a hit and run accident reported by Pennsylvania State Police.

According to a release, during the course of the investigation, a positive identification was made of the suspect, Keith Baybo, 38, of Wildwood Crest.

On Oct. 26, Baybo was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. The vehicle was recovered by Philadelphia Police after discovering the vehicle abandoned in a store parking lot.

Baybo was processed and lodged at the Cape May County Correctional Center.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
