WILDWOOD CREST — Four were charged with various counts, including aggravated assault, underage consumption, DWI and supplying a place for underage consumption of alcohol after police received a call of a fight.
According to a police press release officers received a call Sun., April 1 at 4:37 a.m. reporting a fight, with the suspect leaving the area in a vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle and found the driver, Brandon Glinecke, 20, to be intoxicated. Cody Cluff, 20, a passenger in Glinecke’s vehicle, was found to have severe head and facial wounds.
Officers then went to the home of Drew Ankney, 20, where they found him to be heavily intoxicated with serious head and facial injuries.
A police investigation revealed Ankney and Cluff were involved in a fight at the Ankney residence. During the altercation the two suspects struck each other about the head and face with glass bottles. Both suspects were transported to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
Ankney and Cluff were charged with aggravated assault and released on their own recognizance.
Glinecke was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Joan Ankney was charged with supplying a place for underage consumption of alcohol.
