COURT HOUSE – During the month of January 2016, troopers from Woodbine Station and the Troop “A” CIO – Woodbine Station conducted a distribution of controlled dangerous substance (CDS) investigation.
A suspect, Christopher Fitzpatrick, 39, of Court House, was developed. The New Jersey State Police (NJSP) Troop “A” TEAMS Unit – South, Middle Township Police Department, and Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office assisted with the investigation. The suspect, who was with his girlfriend, Harmony Terrell, 22, also from Court House, was observed selling suspected heroin in the parking lot of a Court House business on Route 9. The suspect and his girlfriend were arrested by NJSP TEAMS on scene without incident. The suspect was found to be in possession of approximately four bricks (210 packets) of heroin ($2,000 street value).
Fitzpatrick was charged with possession of CDS, distribution of CDS, and conspiracy to commit distribution of CDS on a warrant with bail set at $90,000/full cash.
Fitzpatrick was lodged in Cape May County Correctional Center on the strength of his warrant.
Terrell was charged with conspiracy to commit distribution of CDS, and was processed and released.
Lt. Doug Pearson, Woodbine Station Commander, commended the Woodbine troopers and detectives, Middle Township Police Chief Chris Leusner and his officers, and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office for another job well done. Pearson said they will continue to be diligent in their combined and individual efforts to identify, arrest and bring to justice those individuals who try to sell drugs. This is not a localized issue confined to any one area so we, as law enforcement, must have a combined effort to stop it.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty. This report is based on information received from law enforcement.
