County Prosecutor Announces Drug Sentencing

COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor announces the sentencing of Pedro A. Blackshear, 45 year old male, of Cape May City, New Jersey for the 3rd degree Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.
In January of 2009,the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Cape May City Police Department concluded a joint narcotics investigation involving the distribution of CDS from a residence in West Cape May. A Court Authorized search warrant was executed of the residence by members of the Cape May County Regional Swat Team and, as a result, cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills were seized along with CDS packing material and paraphernalia.
Three individuals, including Blackshear, were arrested as a result of this investigation.
On June 14, 2013, Pedro A. Blackshear was sentenced by the Honorable Patricia M. Wild, JSC, to 5 years in New Jersey State Prison for his participation in the drug distribution scheme.
Prosecutor Taylor recognizes the efforts of all agencies involved resulting in the successful conclusion of this investigation.
