County Investigation Into Alleged Bloods Street Gang Member Results in Additional Charges, Three Arrests

BURLEIGH – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor announces the arrest of Isiah McNeal, 29, of Middle Township; Latoya Walker, 27, of North Wildwood and Justin Williams, 27, of Maurice River Township for narcotics distribution and gang criminality.
In July of 2013 a shooting incident occurred in the 1100 Block of New Jersey Avenue in the Burleigh section of Middle Township. During the course of this investigation it was learned that there were other unreported shooting incidents at this residence as well as other locations throughout the county. The ensuing investigation involving members of the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Middle Township Police Department Detective Division, resulted in the arrest of Isiah “Slugz” McNeal and three co-defendants for numerous offenses to include attempted murder, a crime of the first degree; aggravated assault, a crime of the second degree; possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a crime of the second degree and unlawful possession of a weapon, a crime of the second degree.
The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit subsequently initiated an investigation into McNeal’s distribution of controlled dangerous substances and his involvement in the “Bloods” criminal organization. The ensuing seven month long investigation resulted in McNeal additionally being charged with gang criminality, a crime of the first degree, leader of a narcotics distribution network, a crime of the first degree; promotion of organized street crime, a crime of the first degree and conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, a crime of the third degree. McNeal was served his complaints at the Cape May County Correctional Center where he is awaiting trial on the previous charges with an additional bail amount of $200,000 set by Judge Michael Donio, PJSC.
McNeal’s co-conspirators; Walker was charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance and released. Williams was charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled dangerous substance and lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $20,000 bail set by Judge Michael Donio, PJSC.
Prosecutor Taylor continues to urge the citizens of Cape May County to report any information regarding illegal activity and or any criminal activity within the community and that this information can be reported anonymously through the Cape May County Sheriffs Tip Line at cmcsheriff.net and click on anonymous tip, or through the Cape May County Crime Stoppers at 609-465-2800 or 877-465-2801, as well as the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-465-1168.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendants are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
