Cops Search, Find Heroin, Arrest Driver in Rio Grande

RIO GRANDE – Middle Township Police Department’s Street Crime Unit arrested Axel Soto-Perez, 22, of Wildwood March 14. The arrest was pursuant to a search warrant for Soto-Perez’s vehicle. Soto-Perez was arrested in the parking lot of the Village Shoppes in Rio Grande. As a result of the investigation, 53 bags of heroin, a small quantity of marijuana, and prescription pills were confiscated. 
Soto-Perez was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. He was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $100,000 bail.
