GREEN CREEK – Middle Township Police Department responded to the Green Creek area for a report of a man trespassing through yards March 24 at 5:15 p.m. Sgt. Clint Stocker stopped Larry Crocker, 23, of Green Creek, on SH 47. Crocker appeared to be overly nervous. As other officers arrived on scene, they checked the area of the Whispering Woods, and found a victim that had been stabbed. The victim identified the accused as Crocker. Crocker was then placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters. The weapon was recovered from Crocker.
Crocker was charged with aggravated assault and placed in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The victim was stabbed one time and was not seriously injured.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
