CREST HAVEN – Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Lower Township Police Chief William Mastriana announced the April 18 arrest of a township resident.
According to a release, Kevin Craner-Morey, 31, of Villas, was charged April 18 with four counts of aggravated sexual assault, first degree, two counts of sexual assault, second degree, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, second degree.
The charges were a result of a joint investigation conducted by Lower Township Police Department and the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit concerning a juvenile under the age of 18 years old.
Prior to the above-listed charges, on April 13, Craner-Morey was sentenced to three years in New Jersey State Prison for unrelated charges of endangering the welfare of a child and distribution of child pornography. While lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center, Craner-Morey was served the new charges and is awaiting transfer to State Prison.
