COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor and Wildwood Police Chief Robert Regalbuto announce the arrest of Helen Lloyd, 39, of Elmer, N.J.
A cooperative investigation between the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Economic Crimes Unit and the Wildwood Police Department Detective’s Bureau revealed Lloyd stole in excess of $75,000 from her employer, Ocean Towers Condominiums, between September of 2015 and March of 2016.
On May 11, Lloyd was arrested at her residence and charged with theft by unlawful taking, a crime of the second degree, credit card theft, a crime of the third degree, forgery, a crime of the third degree, and bad checks, a crime of the third degree.
Lloyd was lodged in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $90,000 full cash bail which was set by Judge Dorothy Garrabrant, J.M.C.
Prosecutor Taylor advises that persons convicted of a second degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 5 to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison. Persons convicted of a third degree crime are subject to a term of imprisonment of 3 to 5 years in New Jersey State Prison.
