Church Youth Group Leader Charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault

ERMA – A church youth group leader, Jonatan Nunez, 24, of Vineland, NJ was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a 14-year-old female.
Lower Township police were notified of a sexual assault which had occurred in the township of Lower March 19. An investigation was conducted by Detective First Class Michael Majane and Detective Brian McEwing of the Lower Township Police Department. Investigation revealed Nunez had accompanied the victim to a youth function during the week of March 17. After the event he was reportedly alone with the victim when the sexual assault occurred.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Nunez and he was taken into custody March 20. He is presently being held at the Cape May County Correctional Center on $150,000 bail.
The charges and allegations contained in the complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
