Children in Foster Care After Being Left in Locked Car; Father Charged

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP– Anwar Marzquk of the Villas section of Lower Township was charged with child endangerment on Mon. Aug 30, after leaving his two children inside his locked vehicle with the windows rolled up as he went shopping.
Marzquk was shopping at Best Buy, located in the Consumer Square shopping center, according to a press release. While shopping Marzquk left the two children, ages 3 and 10, inside his locked vehicle.
Marzquk was arrest for child endangerment, and was issued motor vehicle violations for improper parking, and for not having child restraints.
Both children were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pamona for treatment of Heat Exhaustion.
The children were removed from the custody of Marzquk by the Division of Youth and Family Services and placed in foster care, according to the release.
